Montana State Singles Results History

April 8, 2018 – Butte

Scott Moler of Bozeman captured the Open Division at the Montana State Singles Handball Championships at the Elks on Sunday. He defeated defending champion Brett Badovinac in the final.

Badovinac was crowned the Masters division champion by virtue being the highest finisher over 40. The open and masters divisions were combined. It is Badovinac’s fifth straight Masters title. 

Livingston’s Rick Edwards defeated defending champion Mike Hitchcock of Butte in the Golden Masters division, for players 50 and over.

Jay Spooner of Fargo North Dakota defended his Super Golden Masters title, for players 60 and over, by defeating Butte’s Mike Hitchcock.

Billings’s Tom Morris captured the Diamond Masters division for players 70 and over. He won all four of his matches in the round robin format. It is Morris’s tenth state singles title.

Butte’s Skyler Criscoulo defeated Missoula’s Eric Schmidt to capture the B division title.

Bozeman brothers Joey and Dylan Urbani faced off for the A division title. Older brother Joey prevailed in two close.
